Is It Safe To Get Pregnant If Youur' A Teen??

I think the rate for preterm labor really goes up as well for teen moms.  That means babies born too early.

You've gotten some really good information here.  A planned teen pregnancy would be a bad idea --- especially those under 18 who are not yet even out of high school.  good luck

Im 15 and excpecting my second and i got my first when i was 13it is safe!

Teen mothers are at some of the highest risk for medical complications. Much of this has to do with inadequate prenatal care and weight gain. Very young mothers often have an under developed pelvis making vaginal birth difficult and the stress of pregnancy on an under developed body can cause serious damage.  

Then there is the financial and emotional stresses that can have long term consequences.

While some teen moms are lucky enough to have supportive families and healthy pregnancies, I don't think it is worth the risk.

I mean it's not unsafe , but it's not very fun & it's not a joke at all & if you get pregnant that doesn't make you an adult your still under your parents responsibility & that baby becomes there responsibility as well witch they can deny to become responsible for them & the baby can be taken , I'm 17 & pregnant I've had too drop out get up every single day work 9 - 5 I've lost all my friends & freedom I can't spend on anything because I haveto spend on the babys things witch all those things too me I mean yea it ***** but they are not a problem because I made the decision too have sex & any time you have sex you take a chance getting pregnant I knew what could happen & I still did it anyways so I'm now prepared too take responsibility but some girls get pregnant & think it's just all fun & games it's not its a child's life a little infant that can't stand up for itself so you gota be mature enough too put yourself aside at all times for that child for pretty much the next 18 years no more selfish teen decisions anymore & some girls want that at a young age but it's not easy at all I don't know if your asking because your thinking of getting pregnant but if your user name is " check your b itch out " I don't think your head or mind is in the rite place to be thinking of having a child that my personal opinion but maybe your asking for some other reasons so I'm sorry if I offend you

It is not physically unsafe to get pregnant if you are an older teen, I don't think it is safe for a 13-year-old or even 14-year-old to get pregs because the body is pretty young for this challenge.

It is, however, unwise.  Financially and emotionally, you will be much better equipped after 20 (or later) to be a parent.  Not to say that people don't do it, but it is a hard row to hoe, and hard on the child also.
