Good for you! It will work. The first few days are the hardest and then it gets easier. No, the baby will not die in the womb from withdrawal. The baby will become healthier since you've quit smoking. Hang in there, okay. I'm very proud of you.

I just smoked my last one yesterday and I am loaded up on hard candy and gum but going insane hope it works and I'm still going to ask the doctor because Ik if your already so far along the baby is already addicted and can end up dying inside the womb from the withdrawal

I know it's hard and you're doing much better but you have to quit. There's no getting around it. What you take in your baby takes in. Once you quit you will feel so much better. Ask your Dr if you can use the patch for a short time to get you through withdrawal. I did this and it really helped. I was not pregnant though so I'm not sure if your Dr will agree to this because the patch still has nicotine. Do ask though because they will either say yes or no. Don't even try the vapor because I already said it can cause health problems. Hard candy and gum can really help too. I had myself loaded up on both of these.

I know people that have gotten bronchitis from the vapor. It still has nicotine so it's not safe.
Your baby is the most important thing so you just need to quit. Smoking during pregnancy can cause low birth weight, early labor and all kinds of problems.

I am 8 weeks too! And I've smoked for about 6 years but as soon as I found out I quit. I dunno if it was all in my head or guilt, but the next cigg I tried to smoke made me sick. If anything, I'd suggest switching to a vapor, very low dose of nicotine and work on cutting down from there. As of right now, I'd think they're ok, but the sooner you quit the better. A friend of mine didn't find out she was preg til she was 11 weeks and she smoked a pack a day. Her baby came out fine, but she quit when she found out.

Well first off you should stop smoking... Second, I dont smoke at all but I've read on here that sometimes its worse to quit all at once but Im not 100% sure why.. people or here have different opinions on smoking some swear its the worse thing in life, other say they smoked during their pregnancy and their baby was fine.. I personally wouldn't risk it bc if its not safe for you when youre not pregnant it cant be any better when you are.. but Id ask your doctor just in case if your baby will be okay if you smoke (assuming it would be less and less each time) :)
