Hi i'm 10 weeks pregnant and I been having a problem with my tooth I got a hole in it and my dentist said I need a root canal. It's been hurting like crazy my OB said it was okay to get it done but I been reading that you shouldn't get any dental work done in your first trimester so I been kinda scared to get it done can I please get some advice about this situation Thanks!!!!

as long as your ob says it's okay you can get it done. i had a cavity filled in my first trimester (not a root canal but...still dental work) the only thing the dentist was REALLY concerned about was the x-rays.

it's fine to get it taken care of. the stress from not doing it can affect your baby too. take care of yourself and your child.
