i want to GET PREGNANT

Question

Well i am 19 years old i know that is a little young but me and my boyfriend of 6 years have been trying to have a baby for the last year and it never works. i do have irregular period and i mean my cycles are very weird i dont even know what day my peiod will come on how many months it wont come and when it does come i never know when it will come again.....so for the last couple months i've been tracking my period to at least try to see when i will be most fertile....it came 3 months in a row always around the 2-8 always.....but this month it didnt come and i took a pregnancy test but......im NOT pregnant.....I have been taking prenatal pills will that help?????i truely dont understand what is wrong with me i even went to the doctor all they told me was to get on birth control to regular my cycle.......what should i do or what steps should i take to get pregnant faster because it is somewhat ruining my relationship my boyfriend is starting to think i cant even have KIDS!!! What should i do??????

Pregnancy doesn't just happen right away sometimes it takes years. My ex and I were together for 7 years and I only had one bad pregnancy I lost the baby. My mother tried for 8 years before she had a child.

well it might not even be you, your boyfriend might have low sperm count or something else. so he shouldnt be too hasty thinking that its you with the problem and i dont know why that would cause problems with your relationship. if he really wants kids with you then he should go to the doctor too and like the girls said see a fertility specialist with you and get down to the bottom of it.

I would go to an infertilty doc to get some tests done. My ob sent me to one because i had been trying to conceive my secound for over a year. They say to talk to a doc after trying for a year and no succese.

wanna get pregnant? ovulation kits help you find out when ur window of opportunity will be:) with having irregular periods.. its harder to determine when that 12-24 hour period of time when u can get pregnant is. . so try gettin a kit and figure out when u ovulate. best of luck

I reccomend that you purchase a OPK ( Ovulation prediction kit) and that should help you with Trying to Concieve.... Best Of Luck TTC and *****Baby Dust***** your way.

well first of all, make sure the prenatals have the right amount of folic acid.  I know when I told my doc that I wanted to get prego she gave me folic acid and then switched it to prenatals after 6 or 8 weeks pregnant.  It is really the folic acid that is necessary right now for proper development and I heard on the news that it can actually help fertility.  Make sure you arent drinking or smoking and neither is dad because this can help infertility.  You could also get the ovulation kits that you can use to test for ovulation.  Some people do not ovulation on the same schedule as most other women so If you knew you were ovulating and when it was that will help.  Good Luck.
