mamaof4410, does your doctor agree with giving a 3-month-old juice and cereal? I've never heard of a pediatrician saying that was OK.
Yes and I agree as well that no a child under the age of 6 months should not have anything other than breast milk and formula
My baby is going to be 3months on the 11th and hes been eating rice cereal since he was 3 weeks old. I wouldn't do the oatmeal because it's harder to digest. but if your baby does get constipated try giving her some apple juice watered down or some pear juice. If my little one gets constipated I give him the juice and it like flushes it out. And make sure you burp the baby really good afterwards.
Depends on how old the baby is.
My daughter was constipated up until she was 3 yrs old.
I never gave her the iron fortifed formula because it made it worse.
With some people oatmeal does the opposite and constipates them.
Its hard for a baby to digest food at such a young age and it takes a while for the digestive system to be fully developed.
Don't give it to babies under 6 months old.
Not supposed to unless you go crazy with it. When my daughter was constipated her ped had us give her oatmeal 5x a week. The fiber content should balance out their bowel movements and prevent constipation.
