I have MS and Trigeminal Neuralgia. For the TN, I've had a Gamma Knife (radiation to the head) and two balloon rhizotomies (creates a lesion on the TN nerve).
Last Monday, while flossing my teeth, my jaws went in opposite directions and froze there for a while. I've been diagnosed with disc displacement in the jaw joint. I do not have any TMJ symptoms, no popping or pain.
Doc told me this disc can regenerate if I stop irritating it. One question I forgot to ask is "how long will it take?"
Another question is, "could this have been caused by the surgeries done to cure the TN problem."
