Dizzy, head pressure, ringing in ears

For the past few weeks I have had a range of symptoms which my GP cannot diagnose:

• strange pressure in head
• light-headedness, dizziness, unsteadiness, balance issues
• sensation of pressure in my ears
• scalp is constantly tingling and I sometimes feel my pulse in my scalp.
• difficulty focusing eyes too

Any advice/help/suggestions greatly appreciated

Anxienty disorder, depression, and OCD have been linked to TMJ problems due to the decreased amount of seretonin released in the brainstem. Once the TMJ disorder is corrected the comorbid problems also decrease and/or discontinue. Good Luck and God bless.

Thank you both. I very much appreciate that you have taken the time to respond to my query. What level of correlation exists between anxiety disorder and TMJ?

Without a personal evaluation it is not possible to give a definitive diagnosis for you. Scottma is correct. Symptoms are common for tmj problems. I would recommend an MRI of the TMJ's to determine if there is a disc derangement, and not just of the spine. Also there have been balance issues with those who have had TMJ problems. Aberrant impulses into the brainstem from the nerve have been documented causing poor posture and gait (walking).

Balance issue has never been reported from my patients. Other symptoms  are common  presentations of tmj.

Thanks Scottma.

I had an MRI scan a number of moths back but it showeed 'nothing serious'.

I also had xrays with a chiropractor who said I had early subluxation of the spine but I have not opted for treatment due to cost.

Are the symptoms typical of TMJ?

Seeing an ENT or neurologist is advised. If there is no result, seeing an orofacial pain specialist or tmj specialist is advised.
