Is a neuromuscular dentist same as TMJ doctor?

i have a serious problem with my jaw..when i chew food at the table it constantly cracks and my family can hear it..the longer i go without eating the more my jaw hurts
i experience migraines and upper neck pain ONLY during times of long periods without eating (4.5 hours +)
anyway i don't know if anyone will ever understand my problem but i was wondering if a neuromuscular dentist is the same as a TMJ doctor?
i saw a tmj doctor before and he honestly seemed pretty bored during my visit like he could care less about my problem
