Muscel and Joint Pain

I am a 60 year old male.  Until 8 weeks ago I have was able to work out at the Gym every day on the treadmill and
several other exercise machines for a 30 min. work out, and generally in basic good health.

Eight (8)  I started to have muscle and joint pain in my major muscles; such as arms forearms, upper legs, thighs, back muscles.  At first I thought it was over working out, and I slowed the workouts but the pain got worst.  In addition I started to have joint and bone pain in my knees, legs, hips, shoulders.

It has become so bad that if I just cut the grass I suffer for days with serious pain in my muscles and joints.  I am on high blood pressure medication, lisinopril 7.5 mgs for about a year. I am also on clonazepam for about 14 years at 0.5 three times a day, and colchicine at 0.6 once a day  and allopurinol 400mgs once a day for Gout. I am on  lyrica 75mgs twice a day for diabetic peripheral  neuropathy. I was on glybride 2.5 for each morning and evening meal, but have been advised to stop as my blood results  have come back excellent with diet and exercise. I did stop but I can not continue the exercise and my blood pressure and weight have gone up.  The blood pressure has only gone up a bit and it about 135/85,  it was normally 116/72 when working out.  My weight has gone up from 223 to 253 due to the lack of exercise and outside activities.

If I do not physical exercise or yard work, at all,  the pain is minimal, but as noted above, even the simplest task as cutting the grass will bring about days of chronic and extreme pain the interferes with my sleep and on the pain scale in about an 8.

This has never happened to me previously at all, and I have always been able to work out.  One other item, I had some dental work done, on a tooth that had been a capped root canal that the tooth had broken in the cap.  The tooth was cut even with the gum and the cap (along with the bridge put back on) and if it bothered me, would be taken out in the future.  I am not sure the tooth fragment can play any part in my pains.

This has now been going out for about eight  (8) weeks.  Can anyone offer any advice.

Dave
