Slipped disc, pain eating/talking?
Ever since my braces were put on, my TMJ has gotten worse over the years (they are off now). For the past 4 years, the popping was loud, but no pain was associated with the noise..until now.  This past year it has become extremely painful to chew food, talk, and yawn due to a slipped disc in the joint on the opposite side.  Are there any treatments to correct this and put the disc back in place?

Occlusal appliance( night guard) is a highly effective treatment modality for tmd, if fabricated properly. Seeing a tmj specialist is advised.
