I recently went to my dentist to get the usual check up and she had some concerns about my jaw. I have a slight underbite and had asked if I had any pain in my jaw. As I was thinking about it i actually do have some pains when i speak, yawn, or chew. She had said I may have TMJ, she explained to me the condition and had referred me to a specialist. I got a 2nd opinion from him and he too suggest that I undergo maxillofacial surgery to have my jaw pulled back. I'm a bit overwhelmed with starting the whole process. Is there anyway that this surgery could be done in one clean swoop? or does it have to be done in multiple surgeries?
