TMJ sufferer - please help

I have been diagnosed with TMJ after suffering with facial pain, neck pain and migraine for  months. I am wearing lower teeth splint now for the last 4 months. My symptoms have reduced but I am not pain free. I go for therapy twice a week which seems to be pretty effective. Forgot to menion that MRI showed right disc displaced.

I want to know if I should be completely pain free? I do have light pain or pull all the time ( which is tolerable) but do get jaw joint pain almost every 10 days.

does it take a lot of time for the disc to come back in the right position? When the disc tries to come in, does it hurt?

any suggestions????
