cleaning and tmj

i have gotten my teeth cleaned and she was new,long story short i left there with extreme pain and sensitivity,it has been two weeks still have sensitivity and i noticed when i left my bite was off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i am having trouble chewing an have pain on my left side under the ear,this to me sounds like tmj,i have never had any problems with my teeth and never had tmj in my life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so here it is,i feel the girl who cleaned my teeth did someting,wether she used the wrong buffer and ground my teeth enough to disturb the bite? has this happened to anyone? if so please i am so scared and confused at this point!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i am going monday to the dentist,but has something like this happened to anyone out there?
