clicking sound from left side of jaw - TMJ?

Hello, I can hear a clicking sound when I open my jaw and move it from side to side only on my left side.
I have fallen down before on my head (top right portion) and think this may have caused this?
I do not feel any pain but sometimes hear ringing in my ears. What is the best cure for this? surgery or are there less invasive ways to solve this? anything I can do by myself to help with this issue?
