possible tennis elbow(s)

by bliksem, Oct 25, 2009 10:54AM
Hi, my doctors diagnosed me with a tennis elbow.  I have been having pain for the last 3 months or so, it's in both arms, and when i press on the muscle right at the elbow on the top side of my forearms, i can feel the pain. I first noticed it in the gym when i was doing bicep curls.  I must have gotten it in the gym, cause i have the pain in both arms, although its worse in my right arm.  I play tennis as well.  For the  last 3 months i stopped all exercise which involve using the arms, i have had 3 steroid injections from my doctor, i have taken a lot of medicine for the inflammation, i have gone for physiotherapy, put lotion on the arms............but nothing works. It still feels the same as 3 months ago.  I am 35 years old, male, and in pretty good shape.  I was hoping someone can tell me what i can do, cause my upper body is getting weak and im putting on weight.  I basically only feel the pain when i press on the muscle, or when i have to pick up something, although sometimes when im resting i can feel a dull pain in my right arm at the elbow. Thank you very much!

I am a male  33 years old and I was diagnosed with Lateral Bilateral Epicondilitus (Tennis Elbow) 17 months go due to my repetitive duties i carry out at work

I Have had Acupuncture, Physio for over 12 months, scenar electronic impulse therapy, medications and 16 curtisone injections and though the injections gave somewhat relief my condition has only worsened with my last mri scans now showing 2 spurs on my right elbow and 1 on the left.......Nothing at all has helped and I have tried everything i possibly know about with advice from my surgeon and Treating specialist

I am going in today at 3pm to have a Tennis Elbow Release at a private Hospital here through my Treating surgeon which to be honest I am not looking forward to but my pain being severe I need to try to give anything a go

I have spoken to a few peole who have experienced Tennis Elbow with them saying they had it a few months and then it just went away, I always think well why has mine been so much longer then that and has only got worse even though I am no longer capable of working and i rest and do no activities that would trigger it off

I hope yours does get better mate as Me having it severe knows how bad it is and can be

Brad
