I have being having pain in my temple ,chick bone , eye and upper back upper teeth for a month now. Went to the doctor , blood test normal wbc count normal but total agranulocytes  elevated (8) . The nurse told me that was OK and they told me to go to the dentist to  rule out TMJ. doctor gave me a pack of steroids in case of temporal arteritis. The pain is constant and I am really scare I finished the steroids 3 weeks ago . went to the dentist he said it can be TMJ and told me I need to use a mouse piece at night. How do I know that is not temporal arteritis ?
Please help do not know what to do?

Temporal arteritis tends to occur after 50 years old. The best way to confirm the diagnosis is histopathologic exam. Seeing an orofacial pain specialist or tmj specialist is advised.
