Testicular cancer and pregnancy

Hi, my husband was diagnosed with testicular cancer on june 1st. He had one of his testicles removed on June 5th. Before he had it removed they checked his sperm. the doctor said he had a high sperm count. Now my husband and i are trying to have a baby. Should we have any problems or is there a time frame you are sterile after a surgery like that? I know i can get pregnant because i did back in high school. I just want some help and to know if i need to prepare myself for maybe having a hard time getting pregnant. I appreciate all the help i can get!

Hi there!

If it was just one of his testicles and the other testicle is fine, there should normally not be a problem with fertility or conception.
Hope this helps.

Take care!
