scrotal hematoma

how do I know that is what I have and what shoukd I do.
I had a radical orcheoctomy and I really don't want to get cut any more.
I'm taking advil and some rest. I will call my urologyst on Monday.
any recomendation?

Hi there!

A scrotal haematoma is common after an orchidectomy and should heal by itself in sometime. This should not be anything to worry about. You could try advil and ice packs for relief. If the swelling continues to enlarge or the symptoms become unbearable the haematoma may need to be removed. You could discuss this with your doctor on his/ her return. If the symptoms are serve at anytime you may consider visiting the ER.
