8 Yr. Old Son has Hypothyroidism

Thank you for your time.  My fourth child was born with hypothyroidism, and has been under the care of a brilliant (if not a little strange) pediatric endocrinologist since birth.  As a result he is extremely bright and as perfect as a human can be.  The other day I noticed he is getting "big boy BO."  He uses deoderant soap, but how well is up for question.  Anyhoo, could this be early puberty, thus related to his thyroid levels?  Thank you so much for this forum and your time.

PS An interesting sidenote:  Two of my sister's three children were also born with this disease.

I don't think this is thyroid related -- would discuss w/ pediatric endo.

Thanks for the info.  Hope the doctor will answer my post, though I suspect it's nothing to worry about.  You were sweet to respond.
