Fainted at home 12/31/12. Fractured right femur in three places. X-rays revealed a 1.6 cm mysterious spot above the highest damage to my femur. Nuclear Medicine Total Body Scan was inconclusive but "osteomyelitis or even neoplasm would be difficult to exclude." Orthopedic surgeon says there is nothing more he can do.
I was told it might be bone cancer while hospitalized for the fractures. My orthopedic surgeon referred to it as a hole in my femur last week. What can be done to determine exactly what we're dealing with before it gets any bigger?
I've been having fainting spells due to anemia several times lately.
