Bouncing from hypo to hyperthyroid

I have been Hypothroid for 9 years and on armour thyroid. 8mos ago I suddenly became T3 toxic(over 750) after years of not converting T4 to T3. My doc started lowering my armour than started combo of armour and synthroid recently.
135mg armour and 50 mcg of synthroid: labs were TSH .01 T4 15.3 FT4 5.2 T3 456  In desperation went to Endo he took me off the meds and put me on 88mcg(he was going to put me on 75mcg but I was arguing) of synthroid and 10mg of cytomel and he didn't want to listen to anything I had to say.  My hair is still falling out in clumps, bald spots all over (I am only 42 and  female) I am so depressed.   I still feel horrible, no symptom relief, still sleeping all day and exhausted, even my eyebrows are falling out. I am not going back to that Endo.
The weird thing is my T3 started to go down in Jan so we thought we were on the right track.  I had started feeling pretty good but than the T3 started going back up again even tho the medication was being lowered.  My regular doc and I are so baffled.  I don't know what to do if anyone has experience with this, advice, anything, please help. I don't want to be bald or feel so sick anymore!

I would immediately go and buy the book, "Living Well with Hypothyroidism" by Mary Shomon.  It is an excellent lay person's reference.  She addresses hair loss w/some recommendations, along with a multitude of other symptom suggestions.  Good luck to you, and Mary Shomon has a website as well to dig into.

The T3 is tough to follow -- it will peak about 2-3 hours after the dose of armour or cytomel -- in other words, interpretation depends entirely upon knowing dose timing.  The hair symptoms may take months to resolve even if you find the right combo/dose immediately.  I prefer cytomel/synthroid combo b/c I can control the T4/T3 much better than with armour.
