Can Hashimoto turn into cancer or lymphoma?

Is a sudden change in long-time diagnosed and controlled Hashimoto's a definite sign of cancer or lymphoma?  After 10yrs of taking 0.1 mg of Synthroid I suddenly have a large, fast growing mass, as well as a growth in an existing goiter. I also have a new hoarseness, trouble swallowing and breathing.  The FNA simply says I have Hashimoto's.  I'm worried but no one else seems to be!

The sudden growth is concerning.  With the symptoms and enlarging goiter, surgery may be best option even w/ FNA suggesting Hashi.  This would alleviate symptoms and make a definite diagnosis.
