Can you have High TT3 with Hashis?

Hi,
I was comparing my last three tests:
07-19-07       TSH - 35.26 (.4-4.5)   Total T3 - 95 (60-181)      Free T4 - .7(.8-1.8)   Armor 1.5 grains
11-6-07          TSH - 6.92(.4-4.5)     Total T3 - 135(60-181)     Free T4 - .8(.8-1.8)   Armor 3 grains
02-07-08        TSH - 6.74(.4-4.5)     Total T3 - 177(60-181)     Free T4 - .7(.8-1.8)   Armor 3.5 grains
I had asked my endo in Feb what this means & all she would say is that she won't worry about it until TT3 gets to 230.
Is there a reason for TT3 to increase?
Thanx,
Beth

The T3 is increasing b/c the armour dose is increasing -- The TSH is still too high - - despite a high armour dose -- are you missing doses, taking it along with other meds?  At this dose of armour, I would not take it all at once -- would split -- eg, 2 grains am 1.5 in early afternoon -- --- talk to your doctor about these issues and about getting the TSH to a more optimal level (around 1).

High T3 is normal consequences of Armour, due T3 ratio (to T4) being higher in Armour.

Just my personal opinion and experience as a thyroid patient.

Thank you.

I don't ever miss a dose & I wait until 3 pm to take vitamins.

I'll speak with endo about splitting dose.  Will taking dose in afternoon effect sleeping?
