Complex Nodules

Just discovered this forum yesterday as my results came back from my ultrasound as complex nodules on the left and right sides of my thyroid.  My GP is scheduling a biopsey with a General Surgeon.  Past history, pituatary tumor removed in 1997, have been on synthoid since.  Just noticed this lump a week ago.  Question, everything that I have read indicates a firm, complex nodules have a higher chance of being cancerous.
Anyone that can offer me some impute or advice is very welcomed.  Thank you

Complex usually means cystic & solid.  It does not mean higher cancer risk.  Agree with the biopsy, but would insist it is done under ultrasound guidance to make sure the solid components of the complex mass are aspirated.
