Do I still have Thyroid Cancer?
I have my thyroid removed on Oct 3, they found 3 places on backside of thyroid that had cancer.  I went on this 3 week low-iodine diet. I Have the I-131 ablation.  I took my post - body scan yesterday.  They called and told me that I still had radiated cells in the Neck.  Does that mean I still have Cancer?

The purpose of the radioactive iodine, in large part, is to ablate the thyroid remnant that is left behind after surgery, that is most likely what is seen on the posttreatment scan.  Please discuss this with your doctor as well.
