Frustrated Thryoid

I have been suffering with a health issue that I believe now to be thyroid but getting no where with it. A few months ago I began to lose energy and drive. I've always been very high energy with little health issues. So from the decreasing energy came no drive, then this extremely annoying anxiety which is at some times debilitating. I now have: muscle aches, joint pain randomly, severe tendinitis in my thumb, sharp quick jabs of pain in leg muscles, profuse sweating with very little exertion, extremely dry skin (the bottom of my feet peel off in pieces over two inches sometimes), no libido and no ability even if I did have the inclination (male--49 years old), frequent heartburn from lack of fluid yet I am now drinking water constantly. I can't work or focus on work, and my pre-existing hypertension is through the roof. I can't get my resting heart below 110bpm although it wil randomly register at 40 or 60. I always have a mild fever now although I feel like there's a furnace inside of me. I take avapro for blood pressure, immovane for sleep and now to quell the anxiety. I have frequent ophthalmic migraines (all sparkly lights, no pain) and have a pain migraine every two weeks or so. I can't get anyone to help me and with every week I am that much less functioning. Oh, I've also gained 40 lbs in six months; mostly belly fat. Please!! Any thoughts? Suggestions? Home remedies while I wait to get a doc to take me seriously?

Would have a general endocrine evaluation to sort out thyroid or other glandular/metabolic problems.
