Goiter cause miscarriage?

I have had a goiter I guess for many years, but didn't realize it.  But after a few years ago of being diagnosed, I have had 3 miscarriages.  I have also had two succcessful pregnancies, as well.  Two bylighted ovums? and the lastest I miscarried at 15 weeks.  Is this a possibility?  I'm searching for answers.  From all my labs and tests, everything looks great so the doctors just diagnosed it as goiter.  I did have two nodules, one on each side of the goiter.  One was not cancerous and the other was to small to biopsy.  Could you shed some light?  Thank you!!!

i have had hoshimotos/hypothyroid and never been told of comlpications when pregnant but i also have pcos from having a thryroid problem and that will cause complications in pregnancy as well as lowers the ability to become pregnant. pcos= polycystic ovary syndrome, its cycst on the ovaries. check if your periods are normal and ask your doctor about that posibilty or even an endo.
good luck

The goiter itself is not likely the cause - but the goiter may reflect thyroid problems that increase the risk of miscarriage.  Would check thyroid antibodies - TPO and Tg - and treat w/ levothyroxine if positive (even w/ normal TSH) as this has been shown to decrease the miscarriage rate.
