Goiter

At what(minimal size) levels usually do TSH and thyroid lobes have to be to cause extra heart beats? 2.At what lowest size in cm do thyroid lobes have to be to be considered goiter in average middle age men? 3.What's the difference between a small hypoechoic nodule(s) vs hypogenic vs hyperechoic thyroid small (ultrasound) nodule(s)(and which one is usually benign)? 4.Usually at what levels do thyroid function blood tests as well as thyroid lobes have to be to cause hair loss from (head) scalp in middle age men? 5.During thyroid ultrasound do they also look for any lymph nodes in neck and if nothing is written on report about any lymph nodes in and on neck about lymph nodes does one have to assume none were found.Thank you

1. TSH that is <0.2 usually (but not always). Thyroid size has little to do with extra heart beats.
2. Probably >2cm in depth/width and >6cm in length -- no set numbers that I am aware of.
3. US cannot distinguish benign, but hyperechoic is usually benign.
4. No set answer/number
5. Usually not  -- depends on who is doing the US.
