Has anyone had more than one surgery for total thyroidectomy?

Has anyone had more than one surgery for total thyroidectomy? So far have had two surgeries in 3 months for total thyroidectomy. First surgeon left 10% thyroid tissue and second surgery was not able to get anymore either. Have papillary thyroid cancer. There are still two nodules left in remaining thyroid bed. Do I let new specialist try to remove tissue or do iodine radiation therapy? I was told radiation will not take care of nodules only tissue. Do I want nodules removed before radiation?

The question is, should nodules left in remaining thyroid bed be removed before radiation? Thank you
