Help Hypo or Hyper

Hi there! Please help me with this. I am not sure my doctor is treating me with the right diagnosis. I am 42 in post menopause taking bio identical hormones. I have depression and severe anxiety. I am taking lexapro 15 mg a day. Up to 4mg of Xanax on most days. I have NO appetite and I have been under a lot of stress too. My Thyroxine (T4) is at 8.5, T3 Uptake is 31, Free Thyroxine Index is 2.6 and my TSH is at 0.994. I have IBS and a Hiatal hyrneia. I have insomnia, no energy, frequent lose bowel movements, have lost 37lbs since July. I am thinking I would have been treated for hyper not hypo. I am confused~

You have normal thyroid levels - if these were before Armour, then there is no indication for this treatment.  If levels on armour, then would need to evaluate pre-treatment levels.

If you have lost this much weight - would recommend second opinion - start w/ general internist.  Also ask for cortisol (adrenal) check.

I forgot to add the reference ranges. Thyroxine T4  reference range 4.5-12.0
T3 Uptake reference range 24-39
Free thyroxine index reference range 1.2-4.9
TSH range 0.450-4.500
And I forgot to say that my Dr. has put me on Armour Thyroid 60mg
