Hyperthyroid and 2 (probably) cysts - ear pain

My blood test came positive for hyperthyroid (sorry, I don't know the numbers) . I have some symptoms of it: hair loss, irritability, anxiety... and I felt a lump on the front part of my neck. I went for an ultrasound and it showed 2 nodules. The tecnitian  told me that she shouldn't say anything but as I was so nervous she could say it didn't look anything more serious, they look like 2 cysts. I'll have an app. with a ENT only in July, so I'm a little (actually, a lot)  nervous. I've been feeling some ear ache and sore throat. Sometimes I feel the pain right behind the ear but it's not a severe pain, just anoying. I feel my ears "clogged", too, the same way we feel when we have a cold and sometimes it seems my face is a little sore too. Now my questions:
Are all these pain related to the thyroid or I might have a sinus infection? The cysts may cause any kind of pain? Does the pain indicate a higher risk for cancer? Is it OK to be seen by an ENT? My primary doctor was who said I should see one. Is there any difference going to an ENT or Endocrinologist?
I'm still so nervous and confused with all these things that I'm feeling a little lost. Could you help me, please?
Thank you so much.

Lots of issues here....

With the hyperthyroid lab results, an endocrinologist will be more helpful than an ENT.

The endocrinologist will also be able to evaluate the ultrasound results and determine if these cysts are large enough to cause symptoms in the neck.  However, the cysts are likely incidental findings and not related to the other symptoms.

An ENT is a head/neck surgical specialist -- if you need thyroid surgery (which is unlikely) then an ENT may be helpful.  Also, if the ENTs are very helpful in determining if face/neck pain may be due to thyroid or other causes.

Our approach in these situations is a combined evaluation by an ENT and me (endocrinologist).

Thank you so much, Dr. Lupo. I think I'll get an app. with both...or get a plane and have an app. in your clinic (if I had the money for it), I'm sure I'd be more calm and feeling safer there...
