Hi Dr. Lupo

I have been experiencing a lot Hyperthyroid symptoms recently, below is the blood work:

Date               sTSH(mIU/L)  FT3(pmol/L)    FT4(pmol/L)
Dec/07/2012   1.06          4.3                14
Oct/01/2012   1.93               4.4                15

feel good in Oct, and early Nov though, just wonder if it is indicating a relapse, shall I take anti-thyroid(Tapzaole) drug now?

Thanks!

The labs you list look pretty normal both from October and December.  Based on this it does not look like the symptoms that might be suggestive of hyperthyroidism would be due to a thyroid problem unless there is more data that you have not listed.

Thanks Dr. Lupo, I will wait another month to see if the symptoms improve or do the blood work again.

forgot to mention, I had hyper 10 years ago and treated with Tapazole, it relapsed 2 years ago, and I took Tapazole agin for one year. stopped tapazole in Aug last year. then back on Tapazole with 2.5mg/day again since late Nov last year till late Feb this year as I did not feel well. TSH/FT3/FT4 still in normal range. The lowest TSH is 1.04 in July this year, and it fluctuates up to 1.36, highest is 1.93 in Oct this year, while T3/T4 is relatively stable in normal range.
