Increase T3 or T4
Thank you for the explanation of why a TSH is high while T3/T4 are in range.  That really helps me.  I am taking 25mcg Synthroid.  Endrocrinologist said increase T4 but when I try it  causes my heart to race.  Naturopath says increase T3.
TSH 7.28  (Ref .4 - 4.5)    Free T4 1.1  (Ref .8 - 1.8)  Free T3  2.4  (Ref 2.3 - 4.2)

Optimize TSH (0.5-2.5 range) w/ T4 alone (slowly increasing the dose given sensitivity), then consider adding T3 (which is usually more likely to increase heart rate than T4)
