Lab tests for toxic thyroid goiter
Suppose one wanted to be tested for toxic thyroid goiter. Would a regular thyroid panel, which includes TSH, FT3, T4, TPO and RT3, cover it?  Should TSI and Thyrotropin Receptor Antibodies tests be done also? Would tests including ACTH, Prolactin, FSH and LH be helpful? Thank you for any assistance here.

TSH would be the place to start - if toxic, this should be low.  Then an I-123 uptake/scan can be done to help confirm the cause of low TSH.
Other testing would be based on evaluation by an endocrinologist, but most of the labs you mention are not necessary.
