Large cyst with septation

Hi, I've just came back from holiday and realised I had a large lump on my right side of my neck, I started to feel unwell, tired and head and neck banging and decided to go to doctors thinking I had a goiter. Doctor did blood tests and by the end of the week the doctor said my test was ok and that he thought it was a tumor and was fast tracking me an appointment with a consultant. Appointment came and saw an endo 3 weeks ago, he examined me and advised he thought it was a large cyst and done FNA, then drew off a lot of fluid and then took another sample by FNA. He then advised I wud be sent for an ultrasound. At the ultrasound the radiographer advised large cyst with septation on my right thyroid and a small benign cyst on my left. After 3 weeks my FNA results are not back, I'm feeling ill and the swelling on my neck is back up but more harder. What have I got, is there a possibility of this needing to be taken out. Your comments would be welcome

FNA should be back by now - call the doctor.
But the FNA may show only cyst fluid and few (if any) thyroid cells).
Most likely this was bleeding into a pre-existing cyst/nodule that is more scary usually than it is dangerous.  Often these regress on their own within a month.  Yours is filling back up with fluid and causing symptoms - so either repeat drainage or surgical excision is the next step.  Sometimes ethanol injection can be done after documenting benign cytology by FNA and re-accumulation after 2-3 drainage attempts.

Thank you for your advice. I ran the consultant secretary for the 4 th time in a week and she advises that the FNA & ultrasound were fine. My next appointment with the consultant is in 3 weeks. I'm going to make an appointment with my doctors tomorrow cos I shouldn't feel as bad as I do, I don't have any energy, headaches - I wake up with them, I go to sleep with them, hot and cold on and off. I was that bad this week I've spent 2 days in bed and I cud of so easily banged my head against a wall. I am forever taking painkillers to ease the problem. All I want is this lump taken out. When I had the FNA and alot of the fluid drained off, the next day I felt like a new person, woke up with no headache but by the time I got to work I could feel my next pulsating. Just want an end to this and I am very appreciative of your advice. Thank you
