After 6 months of symptoms, making out my will and telling my family goodbye I was finally diagnosed with Hashimoto's and hypothyroidism about 3 weeks ago. I was given a dose of .025 and have been on it for about 3 weeks. My Endo does not seem as knowledgable as most and says that a lot of my symptoms are not from the hypothyroidism, yet ive had every test known to mankind.
My symptoms are fatigue (mainly in the morning), tinnitus in my ears, shakyness with a dash of nausea, overall lethargic. My endo says that she does not think that these are symptoms of my hypothyroidism, hashimoto's because my tsh is 5.01. I have an appointment with a new endo on April 20, but in the meantime Im trying to make sense of all of this.
My questions are as follows:
Have you heard of the tinnitus in the ears as a result of my symptoms? (my ENT says yes, Endo says No"
Should I or should I not increase my dosage to maybe a .025 and a half?
Why do you think my symptoms are worse in the morning but get a little better as the day goes on?
Do you think because I went 6 months HYPO with no medicine it damaged my system?
Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.
