Lossing to much weight

Ga7
Now Ive been on my thyroid treatment for over a year now and my levels are with in range. For the past month I have been really tired again and sleeping 12 hours a day,,my weight over the year has dropped over 50 pounds, I went from 245 to 195 and Im 6' 4" male this is not good for me.No other test show any other problems. I feel im at to high a dose and my levels should be above normal..This is getting worse. I'm eating well but my vitamin D is still low and with my kidney stone problems still, and I cant seem to handle the water pills any more since I work here in the desert, The sunlight is not recommended by the doctor during the treatment on this med..Im in a area were doctors and good hospitals are short and not very good. Maybe a multi vitamin of sorts is at hand here. I still have anxiety problems twice a day with tingling in legs and arms,,My vit B12 is good I take injections every month, And I take zanex every day just half tab of .5mcg twice to make .5 total for the day.

With kidney stones and a low vitamin D you need to be tested for primaryhyperparathyroidism -- PTH and Calcium level.

The other possibility is malabsorption -- ie, low Vit D and B12 from things like celiac sprue or pernicious anemia.  This would be slightly more common in a person with an autoimmune thyroid disorder (like Hashimoto's which is the most common reason people take thyroid replacement meds).

Would make sure the thyroid levels are not showing that you are on too much medication - but you say the levels are in range, suggesting the weight loss is not due to too much thyroid meds.

Lastly, would consider testing for adrenal insufficiency -- not common, but important to diagnose -- most patients have nausea, weight loss, fatigue, light-headed,.
