Not feeling like myself

I am a 34 year old female who had the right lobe of my thyroid removed due to a mass in April 2013. Since then my levels have been checked twice and are good. Ever since my surgery though I have been easily irritated, emotional, tired, putting weight on and have no sex drive. My question is can my levels be normal, but my thyroid still not be working properly and what can I do about it?

Would look at presurgical levels to see if current is the same or if there is a relative difference that may warrant a trial of medication to see if symptoms improve.

I would like to bump this thread, and my apologies for hi-jacking. I am 34 years old, Male, and I too had a recent hemithyroidectomy (right lobe) due to a large nodule (about the size of an avocado).

My Endocrinologist ran some blood work pre and post surgery, and my levels were fine - she tested my TSH, T4, and T3 uptake. However, just like what jiujitsumama mentioned, I too have the same symptoms and very very lethargic; everything is just so... for the lack of a better word... blah.

To rule out the possibility of low testerone, my Endo also tested my Testerone, LH, FSH, and Prolactin levels, and the results were also within normal range.

It's very discouraging because this isn't one of those mind-over-matter type of ordeal - I really can't brush it off when the symptoms hits me especially lethargy; I just sit or lie down and go blank.

Please help!
