Hi,
I have a 2.5cm nodule, suspicious for neoplasms. This area of my neck has occasional discomfort, or throbbing, and I have had a biopsy, multiple blood works, urinalysis, ultrasounds, etc. Every blood test and urinalysis shows my hormone levels (TSH and T3, T4) and calcitonin levels within normal range, and I have not experienced any changes in my weight. My only change I have experienced is exhaustion (vitamin B is added to diet now), and throbbing occasionally (before and after the biopsy). My doctors all say that the nodule is not associated with pain. I have seen 2 endocrinologists, a surgeon of endocrine tumors, and my pcp.
Any suggestions on what is going on or causing this discomfort? I am awaiting a follow-up appointment, but it will determine if the nodule needs to be removed.
Thank you in advance!
By antibodies do you mean TPO?
Usually would repeat TSH after 6 weeks and test antibodies to confirm abnormality and test for Hashimoto's.
