I had an ultrasound because my primary physician felt enlarged thyroid. The ustraound report showes the following: " Thyroid size 4.8 x 1.6 x 1.8 cm ( R) and 4.9 x 1. 4 x 1.8cm (L), with difffuse heterogenous echotexture with may be related to thyroditis. There was a small 1.0 x 1.4 x 1.8 cm hypoechoic nodule adjacent to the inferior pole of the R hepatic lobe which may present parathyroid adenoma and clinical correlation is recommended." CBC, Metabolic panel, TSH, T3, T4, PTH - everything is normal. in particular, my calcium was 8.9 and 9.2 taken a week apart, and PTH is 24.5.
I am scheduled to see endocrinologist in 2 months from now. It makes me quite anxious that I have " parathyroid adenoma" with normal tests. I am 32 y.o female with no medical history.
What it could be? I touched my neck, trying to find where the nodule is, now my lymph node got painful in my neck, behynd the ear, and even in my breast.
