Severity of hypothyroid with TTS/CTS

I am currently hypothyroid and just started treatment.  I have tarsal tunnel syndrome and carpal tunnel syndrome since developing hypothyroid.  My question is, to have tarsal tunnel syndrome (effecting 0.0007% of the US population) does this mean I'm severely hypothyroid?  I was reading that 45% of myxedema patients have TTS.
How long since treatment starts until TTS and CTS go away?  The pain is very bothersome and I can't concentrate much on life.

It may take several months (2-4+) for the compartment syndromes to abate -- they are associated with hypothyroidism.  Typically the more severe the hypothyroid, the more likely to have these syndromes, but I have seen it even in mild hypo cases.

The first strange this about my situation is this happened within 3 weeks.  I became hypo then after a week got CTS and TTS and I've been in terrible pain from it.  Months you say... How can I manage?
I was hoping it went away as quickly as it came.

Do you have any suggestions on how to relieve the symptoms of CTS/TTS?  Would the CTS/TTS cease quicker with a higher dose of thyroid medication, or it it possible a higher dose is needed to even fix this?
