TSH 26.77 and rising

I am a 57 yr old female, 7 yr post op total thyroidectomy, on levothyroxine.  5/21/05 dose .137 TSH .11, dose lowered to .112, 7/13/05 TSH 2.65 dose unchanged,  12/8/05 TSH 8.11 dose increased to .125, 2/13/06 TSH 23.79 DR. repeated on 2/27/06 TSH 24.99, still doesn't believe its so high, sent to new lab 3/3/06 TSH 26.77.  Dr. is out sick and not availabe at this time. Can't see an endochronologist til May 17.  Feeling just awful.  What could be causing this?  I am on a lot of other mecications but nothing new in a long time.  She put me on nightly O2 via nasal cannula for O2 SAT of 82 to 88 thru noc. have had lung scan (OK). echocardiogram (lost in office). Thinks CHF but seems to refuse to believe its the thyroid. Obviously I will change to specialist but what can I do thil then?  Grateful for any input.
Thanks........Ellypoo

iam so sorry to hear about ur high level ths. first u must find a better thyroid doctor.take ur medication at the same time. and dont eat cabbage or peanuts. if u are drink and smoking then u must stop. do u have palpitations? if u do ask ur doctor to give u atenolol. and check ur blood pressure. try to relax is much as possible. i had the same problem. my doc.lowered my medication. my THS IS  .23.(the normal range is 12 -22.look in the internet and see if there is a better doc. in ur area. god bless and good luck.tm

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Not sure why the increase in requirment.  Seems like going back to 137mcg is the next step -- reasons for this: generics, change in brands, adding other meds (ie zoloft, estrogen-meds, iron), malabsorption.....The low oxygen is concerning for sleep apnea (if I understood correctly this was a night-time oxygen measurement).  Would see a lung specialist for this problem as I cannot fully explain the low oxygen on thyroid with definite certainty.
