Test results...possible interpretation?

Hello, any feedback regarding possible follow-up would be great.  These are my symptoms:  thinning hair, low energy (feeling tired whenI wake in am), toenails brittle and dry, cracking skin on heels of feet.  I initially went to a psychiatrist thinking I was possibly depressed and he had me complete the following tests for thyroid and parathyroid:

TSH results:  3.56             (.34-5.6 reference range/value)
Free t4 results:  .9            (.6-1.6)
Free T3 results:  2.9        (2.5-3.9)
Anti-TPO results:  435     (<35)
PTH , Intack results:  29   (12-65)
Calcium results:  9.3        (8.3-10.5)
T3. Total:  1.0                  (.9-1.8)

The ranges are all in the parentheses.  The psychiatrist wanted to make sure that nothing physical was going on with me before he prescribed any anti-depressent medications.  Thank you for any information you are able to give to me.

You have Hashimotos with borderline hypothyroidism -- would treat with thyroid meds (ie, synthroid) first before moving forward with antidepressants unless you have severe depression +/or suicidal thoughts.

Hi. I'm no doctor, but the forum MD will PROBABLY agree, but your numbers, albeit the ARE WITHING NORMAL RANGES, still suggest hypo symptoms.  TSH levels on most people are best at .5-1.5 & you FREE T'S should be at the higher end of the reference range in order to alleveiate symptoms.

My personal opinion would be NOT to go on anti-depressants just yet.  My docs jumped to do that too, until I asked them to increase meds to get me in a better ref. range.

Good Luck to you & let us know what your doc says!!
