Throid and GERD Connection?

Hi! Several month ago I was diagnosed with GERD and given Nexium but I still have alot of pain and discomfort. I went back to the doctor last week and was given more tests including bloods tests for thyroid (my sister has hypothyroid and my Mum is being tested as she has nodules on her thyroid).

After from the gastro and other related GERD symptoms (post nasal drip etc.) I´m suffering from severe brain fog and fatigue. I also have night sweats and wake up with extremely puffy eyes. I´m a 33yr old female.

My results show the following:

TR 1.37
T4 6.1
TSH 0.43

They are all within the normal range but given my family history and syptoms (symptoms) could this be a thyroid problem? Can thyroid problems cause GERD? I don´t have go back to the doctor for another 2 weeks so any help would be much appreciated.

Many thanks!

No, the thyroid levels are completely normal.  Thyroid problems cannot typically cause GERD.
