I had Thryoid Cancer in '08 and now I find out that I have Hashimoto's as well with no Thyroid. I have never had HTN until my thyroid was removed. My thyroid levels have always been normal, except after each child I had pregancy induced hyperthyroiditis. I am not sure who to see. I have flares like lupus, but those levels came back fine. When I am in a "flare", I have migraines, diastolic pressure between 96-107 consistantly, and normal hypothyroid issues, but my TSH is normal. Should I see an internist, or another endocrinologist.
For the blood pressure, would see an internist primarily.
For the thyroid cancer, would see an endocrinologist.
The thyroid is not a common cause of these spells and blood pressure, especially if the TSH is consistently normal.
