Thyroid Cancer Recurrence Symptoms

I am a 35 year old female.  I was diagnosed and treated for thyroid cancer 6 years ago.  I've had a complete thyroidectamy.

Over the past several months I've been feeling tired and dizzy.  I went to my family doctor to check my levels thinking that my levels may be low.

The results showed that, although I am on 225 of thyroxin, I am still three times more defficient than I should be.

My doctor won't adjust my meds until we are sure there is no recurrence.

I am scheduled for an ultrasound and body scan late September.

I am just wondering is this is usually a symptom of cancer recurrence?

Sincerely

Lorraine

This is not a symptom or sign of recurrence.  Lab testing with thyroglobulin, neck ultrasound and sometimes I-131 body scans are the best way to determine recurrence.
