Thyroid Cyst
6 Months ago I had an thyroid Echography that says I have a Heterogeneous Thyroid Gland with Subcentimer Bilateral Nodules , nonspecific. They Right Nodule was 6mm heterogeneously hypoechoic with well defined borders and it's noncalcified. Also a 3mm Cystic Nodule at the upper pole of the Left Lobe.  Isthumus is 2.5mm.
My question is now 6 months later it shows Two small cysts on the R 7x5x7mm, the other one 4x2x4mm. On the Left side there are two subcentimeter cysts 4-5mm. The Isthumus now measures 4mm. What does all this mean?

These are very small areas of nodularity and followup ultrasound at one year interval is reasonable.  Biopsy is typically not performed until nodules increased to 10 mm or above.
