Thyroid and acne
I have not had my thyroid tested but it was requested by my doctor.  I'm sure it is fine but I do have a question.  I was told that they thyroid gland can cause acne, is that true?  I am 34 and am starting to have pimples again.

thank you

My acne flared pretty bad a few months after starting levothyroxine.  i've been trying to avoid iodine in my diet, since i've noticed my skin breaks out much less without iodine.
when i looked at the ingredients in levothyroxine, it says it contains iodine.  :-(
