Thyroidectomy & constant fluctuation

Hi- I had to have my thyroid removed in 2007 due to medullary cancer.  Since then, my TSH has only been within the normal range a couple of times.  I'm constantly fluctuating between hypo & hyperthyroidism.  This is no way to live.  My ability to function is tremendously affected.  I have tried 3 endocrinologists & am currently going to a reputable university hospital.  The Dr's seem to only be concerned with TSH.  Anyone know of a place I could go who specializes in this or have any advise?

I'm also wondering if anyone has/had medullary cancer.

If you have tried all the levothyroxine tablet manufacturers, are using brand only, separating one hour from meals and other meds and 4 hours from calcium and iron, then suggest either GI evaluation for absorption problems or a trial on tirosint gelcaps.

I had 1 of my thyroids removed years ago, because of a benigh goiter. and I recently had my TSH checked, and it was .52. My doctor said that was fine, and that it was actually high for 1 thyroid. What is your TSH level?
