Tissue left over after radioactive iodine treatment

I has radioactive iodine in 2005 and two months ago found out three was thyroid tissue still functioning. I have never had a biopsy when the thyroid was a multinodular goiter or and ultra sound. How do I know the tissue is safe. I have a 7.9 tsh and it was 3.8 for many years. The endo wants to knock me up to 100 mcgs and I felt awful at that level. I even has symptons at 88. MyPimary care thinks it should be lower.
Is there any help for me to feel normal?

There is sometimes remaining tissue after RAI - this is not uncommon.
To prevent that tissue from growing, keeping the TSH in the normal range is important.  We usually target TSH of about 0.5-2.5.
Ultrasound follow-up should help detect any change in the tissue or nodule(s) that may need FNA biopsy.
